I just want to remind first-time homebuyers about the Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008.

Market Update: Frederick Co: December 2008

The Frederick County Residential Market Report is now available for the month of December 2008. Some of the highlights (lowlights?) include:
Residential Settlements were down -16.6% for the year.
Condo/Co-op Settlements were down 41.5% for the year.
The average price for a home was $315,213 – down from 2006’s high of $377,700.

According to the GCAAR Residential Market Report: during the month of
December 2008 in Montgomery County, MD there were:
637 NEW LISTINGS this month for Residential
(up 1.4% compared to Dec 07)
3260 TOTAL ACTIVE Residential Listings
(down – 7.5% compared to Dec 07)
481 UNDER CONTRACT
(+21.5% compared to Dec 07 – year-to-date down -7.6%)
505 SETTLEMENTS
