Private Wells
If your home is located in an area where public water is unavailable you will get your water from a private well. If you have a home well, you alone are responsible for maintaining the safety of your drinking water supply. When your well system is suitably located, correctly installed, properly maintained, and regularly tested, you will have few problems with water quality. Water testing may be required by lenders when you sell or refinance your home, but otherwise, it’s up to YOU to make sure it is safe to drink.
